The new Matter-compatible switches feature a sleek redesign, offering smarter, more flexible ways to simplify lighting control throughout the home.
Cleveland, OH – August 21, 2025 - GE Lighting, a Savant company today announces the availability of its new Cync® Keypad Dimmer Smart Switch and Paddle Dimmer Smart Switch, a part of the GE portfolio of smart home products. First revealed at CES 2025, these two models mark the beginning of a redesigned Cync switch lineup, offering homeowners more intuitive control, expanded platform compatibility, and future-proof connectivity through Matter.
Both switches are available now and are designed to make upgrading to smart lighting easier and more accessible, whether you’re automating a single room or the entire home.
Simple Installation. Smart Control.
The Matter-compatible switches integrate seamlessly with Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, and SmartThings without a hub. Designed for homes built after the 1980s with a neutral and ground wire included, installation is simple and DIY. Built-in Wi-Fi enables remote control, scheduling, and scene-setting through the Cync and Savant apps. A single Cync switch makes the entire circuit smart - no need for companion switches - bringing voice control and automation to every connected light. The included traveler wire also supports 3-way and 4-way setups without relying on Wi-Fi, and when paired with Cync smart bulbs, schedules and voice commands continue to work even if the switches are turned off.
“Lighting is personal and plays a huge role in how we experience our homes,” said Kara Perdue, Vice President of Product Management at GE Lighting, a Savant company. “With the new Cync Keypad and Paddle Dimmer Smart Switches, we’re giving people smarter, more flexible options that integrate into their daily routines. Whether it’s automating an entire circuit with just one switch or accessing favorite lighting scenes with a tap, these Matter-compatible switches simplify smart home control for everyone.”
Two Models. Two Experiences.
The Keypad Dimmer Smart Switch is ideal for those who want quick access to lighting scenes and groups. Featuring two programmable buttons, users can control entire rooms or activate customized lighting scenes with a single touch. It also offers ultra-smooth dimming performance with dimmable LED and incandescent bulbs, making it a perfect fit for living rooms, bedrooms, and entryways where ambiance and convenience are key.
For homeowners seeking a more traditional design, the Paddle Dimmer Smart Switch blends classic style with modern smart features. With its familiar paddle design and integrated side slider, users can adjust brightness levels smoothly and intuitively. LED indicator lights provide a subtle visual cue of the dimming level, enhancing usability while maintaining a clean aesthetic. This model is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and any space where simple, reliable dimming control is preferred.
Availability & Pricing
Both switches are available now at the GE Lighting e-shop and Amazon. The GE Cync Keypad Dimmer Smart Switch is $44.99, and the GE Cync Paddle Dimmer Smart Switch is available for $25.99. The entire refreshed line of GE Cync smart switches will be available nationwide in Q1 of next year.
