GE RIGHT LIGHT WEEKEND PROJECT SWEEPSTAKES
2007 OFFICIAL RULES ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. The RIGHT LIGHT WEEKEND PROJECT SWEEPSTAKES ("Sweepstakes") is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 21 years of age or older and have online access at time of entry. Officers, directors, employees and agents of General Electric Company ("Sponsor") or GEM Group, Inc. ("Administrator") (collectively the "Released Parties"), as well as any members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling and child) and persons living in the same household, and the respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, sponsors, marketing and promotion partners, retailers, vendors and advertising and promotional agencies of the Released Parties are ineligible. Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 AM (ET) on August 1, 2007 and ends at 11:59:59 PM (ET) on April 1, 2008 ("Promotion Period"). HOW TO ENTER: Between 12:00:00 AM (ET) on August 1, 2007 and 11:59:59 PM (ET) on April 1, 2008 there will be thirty-four (34) Promotion Periods, when you may enter the Sweepstakes by visiting www.ge.com/weekendprojects. Entrants must complete a registration form and answer the five (5) trivia questions to enter. Entrants must click on the "submit" button to complete the entry process ("Entry"). Trivia questions will be based on facts about the Right Light Weekend Project Webisodes, available at www.ge.com/weekendprojects. Correct answers are required to gain an Entry. Entrants will receive one (1) Entry for answering all five (5) trivia questions and completing your Entry per day. Limit one (1) Entry per person/email address per day. A day is defined as starting at 12:00:00 AM (ET) and ending at 11:59:59 PM (ET). Using a Flash Plug-in is required to enter the Sweepstakes. If you do not already have it you may install a current version when prompted. Installation is free. All eligible Entries received during each Promotion Period will be automatically entered into that Promotion Period Weekly drawing. All Entries will be entered into the appropriate Promotion Period for the day the Entry was submitted. The Promotion Periods will begin on August 1, 2007 at 12:00:00 AM (ET). Entries must be received during the following time periods to be eligible: Right Light Webisode: "Laundry Room" Right Light Webisode: "Hallway" Right Light Webisode: "Kitchen" Right Light Webisode: "Bedroom" Right Light Webisode: "Bathroom" Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes in the event that it becomes infected by a computer virus or is otherwise technically impaired. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an online Entry, the Entry will be deemed to be submitted by the natural person in whose name the e mail account is registered. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service will apply and are entrants' sole responsibility WINNER SELECTION: There will be thirty-four (34) Weekly Prize Winners randomly selected on or about the first business day of the week following each Promotion Period, from all eligible Entries received, during each Promotion Period, by the Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) Prize Winner per person/household. Odds of winning a Weekly Prize are dependent upon total number of eligible Entries received during each Promotion Period. All prizes will be awarded and winners will be notified by express mail, telephone and/or e-mail. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential Weekly Prize Winners will be notified on the second Friday the week immediately following each Drawing. Prizing will be awarded approximately four (4) weeks after winner notification. Failure to acknowledge notification within five (5) business days will result in disqualification and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: Thirty-four (34) WEEKLY PRIZES (one (1) per Promotion Period): A $500 Visa® Prepaid Card. (Actual Retail Value ("ARV") of each prize: $500). Visa prepaid cards are good everywhere Visa prepaid cards are accepted worldwide. Weekly Prize does not include taxes, incidental charges, or any other item not specifically described in these Official Rules. All federal, state and local taxes, costs and all expenses for any of the foregoing are the responsibility of the Weekly Prize Winners. Prizes are not transferable. No prize substitution, transfer or cash redemption allowed in lieu of prize, except at Sponsor's sole discretion, who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value. Limit one prize will be awarded to any person/household. GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Sweepstakes and any claims relating thereto are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, excluding its choice and conflicts of law provisions. By entering, entrants agree (i) that any action arising out of this Sweepstakes must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cleveland, Ohio; (ii) irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of any such court; and (iii) waives any objection, and agrees to make no objection, to the venue of any such action or proceeding in any such court or that such action or proceeding was brought in an inconvenient court. By entering, ENTRANT WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO HAVE A JURY PARTICIPATE IN RESOLVING ANY DISPUTE, whether sounding in contract, tort, or otherwise, arising out of, in connection with, related to, or incidental to, this Sweepstakes. By entering, entrants agree: (1) to release and hold harmless Released Parties from liability, loss, injury or damage arising out of their participation in the Sweepstakes and with respect to their acceptance and use/misuse of any prize; (2) to be bound by the Official Rules; (3) that the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes; (4) to be contacted by the Sponsor and/or Administrator via telephone, email or express mail regarding the Sweepstakes; and (5) to the use by Sponsor and its designees of their names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes in any and all media worldwide (including posting names online for Winners List) in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification or permission, except residents of Tennessee and where otherwise prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes. Released Parties are not responsible for computer, technical, mechanical, production, human, or other resulting in printing or typographical errors. Released Parties are not responsible for malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer hardware, software, malfunctions of the entrant's email provider, incorrect email addresses, lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected Entries. Released Parties are not responsible for problems downloading Entries from the website or for any other technical problems related to website Entries. An Entry, except where prohibited by law, constitutes a grant of permission to the Sponsor or its agents to include winner's names on the www.gelighting.com website and in connection with a Winner's List without further notice or without additional compensation.
