Description
Designed for newcomers to the lighting industry, this course provides basic product and application training for commercial, institutional and industrial lighting applications. Through lectures, full-scale lighting demonstrations and workshops, participants will understand basic lighting terms and concepts, and measurements of the quantity and quality of light. They will be able to identify major light source families, understand where they can be used in a variety of applications, design basic lighting layouts, and calculate economic and environmental benefits of lighting upgrades. Specific application modules include: retail and hospitality, offices and healthcare, industrial and warehouse, and outdoor area lighting.

Course Starting/Concluding Times
The starting and concluding times for each course may vary, but the usual starting time each day is 8:00 a.m. with the bus departing from the hotel at approximately 7:30 a.m. The daily concluding time is usually 5:00 p.m. except when evening events such as refreshments and dinners are scheduled. The exact times will be listed in your confirmation packet that you will receive three weeks prior to your course. Please verify exact times before making your airline reservations.

When confirming your return flight arrangements from Cleveland to go home: Please allow a minimum of 2 hours ground travel time from course conclusion time to the airport. (1 hour from GE Nela Park to the airport and another hour for airport security and then to your departing gate)
