GE Lighting extends range of incandescent alternatives with new energy efficient halogen products
Among the additions to be available from early 2010 is the GE Precise™ Constant Color ® MR16 IR, incorporating the market leading double-sided coating technology, and providing up to 40% energy savings when compared to conventional low volt mirror lamps. The new PreciseTM Constant Color ® MR16 IR provides superior color rendering and lumen maintenance throughout life and eliminates unwanted backlight seen on competing products. The GE Lighting team will also be offering an energy saving MR16 solution for less demanding needs. Arriving this November, the GE Precise™ MR16 IR housed in a standard dichroic mirror reflector offers a minimum of 30% energy savings for functional lighting applications. GE Lighting has also announced that it will be widening its existing range of HaloGLS products to meet increasing customer demand for energy efficient incandescent replacement products. These new products come in the same shape and dimension as a conventional incandescent GLS, candle, spherical or reflector lamps. However, when compared to incandescent, the halogen replacement lasts twice as long, uses 30% less energy, and provides a similar amount of instant light output. The energy saving G9 capsules embodied in the new GE HaloGLS range can also be purchased as stand alone products for mains voltage sockets. These products meet the new stringent European Union legislation on energy using products. Along with the GE DEQ linear halogen range, GE Consumer & industrial offers a full line of halogen solutions for todays lighting needs. Speaking about the new range, GE Lighting’s General Manager EMEA, Simon Phillips said: “With the current phase out of incandescent lamps, it is important to provide our customers with a mix of energy efficient alternatives. The new range of halogens builds on our existing portfolio of both halogen and CFL lamps all of which have been designed to provide customers with highest levels of efficiency, lifetime and light quality.” For more information about GE Lighting’s products visit: Halogen brochure |
