Figure 2.23. Lucalox order code.

The basic Lucalox order code is modified slightly for other Lucalox types:

HO Lucalox
HO (High Output)
CL Lucalox
CL (Classique)
TD Lucalox
TD (tubular double ended)
DX Lucalox Deluxe
RFL Reflector bulb version
I Internal ignitor

Two modifications are made to the basic Lucalox order code to define E-Z Lux (Easy Lux) lamps. H is added to the LU component, indicating that the lamp is used on a mercury ballast rather than a high pressure sodium ballast. E-Z (meaning "easy") is added to the order code, a method of upgrading mercury installations without changing the luminaire.

Metal Halide
The first component of the Multi-Vapor and Metal Halide order codes defines the type of lamp:
  • ARC - Arcstream
  • CMH - Arcstream Constant Colour, Ceramic Metal Halide
  • KRC - Kolorarc Metal Halide
  • MVR/MPR - Multi-Vapour Metal Halide
  • MXR - 100W Arcstream and 175W Multi - Vapor
  • SPL - Sportlight
Earlier codes for these lamps were as follows:
  • MBI - Metal halide Arcstream or Kolorarc
  • MQI - Compact double ended metal halide
  • CSI - Compact source iodide
  • MVR - Standard Multi-Vapor
  • MXR - Halarc
Second components define wattage.
