Find the Right Bulb

Right light for hallway

Hallway
The main thing to remember when considering lighting for a hallway is that you want to create a friendly, welcoming place.

Wall or ceiling fittings are your best bet as the confined space of a hallway can get busy. A general ceiling light will reduce shadows, but make sure you fit an energy saving bulb if you plan to leave the light on for long periods of time.

For a brighter light, high power upward lighting may be achieved through wall lights fitted with Halogen linear bulbs.

If your entrance hall is a long corridor, give preference to ceiling lights. These may be modern suspended light fittings or lamps set in a false ceiling. The use of low voltage or mains voltage Halogen Mirrors will enhance your corridor with a series of concentrated beams.

If you have a spacious hall, why not arrange and light it like a mini living room. A table lamp with Enrich or Softlight bulbs in Pastel shades will add to the atmosphere of your hall.
