Decorating Tips

• Use task lighting to aid in grooming at a dressing table or mirror. For a vanity table, where one would be seated, shade centers should be 15 inches above the tabletop.

• Indirect lighting can offer a pleasant glow to relaxed bedroom environments. GE Enrich bulbs create a soft glow in any bedroom fixture.

• Stone, brick and other textured walls can also be emphasized by a wall washing technique called "grazing." Place recessed directional fixtures 6 to 8 inches away from the wall and 12 to 30 inches apart for a dramatic visual effect.

• To highlight your art, collectibles, and other points of interest, consider pools of accent lighting. GE Enrich bulbs make everything look better!

• To achieve glitter without glare, keep your chandelier dimmed. For extra sparkle, consider installing small recessed downlights on either side of the chandelier.

• With crystal or shiny metal fixtures, use clear GE Enrich bulbs for maximum glitter. With dull materials such as wood, pewter and wrought iron, use coated GE Enrich bulbs.
