In early 2015, GE Lighting Solutions, LLC entered into a non-exclusive, worldwide patent license agreement with Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd., a Taiwanese company. This license allows Everlight to practice several GE patents (US Patents 7,497,973, 7,847,309, 7,358,542, 7,453,195 and 7,648,649 and any foreign counterparts, divisionals, continuations, continuations-in-part, reissues and reexaminations thereof) covering the application of potassium fluoride silicon (PFS) phosphor in LEDs for sale as part of LED backlight units for LCD displays.

Lextar Electronics Corporation

In November 2015, GE Lighting Solutions, LLC entered into a non-exclusive, worldwide patent license agreement with Lextar Electronics Corporation, a Taiwanese company. This license allows Lextar to practice several GE patents (US Patents 7,497,973, 7,847,309, 7,358,542, 7,453,195 and 7,648,649 and any foreign counterparts, divisionals, continuations, continuations-in-part, reissues and reexaminations thereof) covering the application of potassium fluoride silicon (PFS) phosphor in LEDs for sale as part of LED backlight units for LCD displays.

Shenzhen Refond Optoelectronics Co., Ltd

In June 2016, GE Lighting Solutions, LLC entered into a non-exclusive, worldwide patent license agreement with Shenzhen Refond Optoelectronics Co., Ltd, a Chinese company. This license allows Refond to practice several GE patents (US Patents 7,497,973, 7,847,309, 7,358,542, 7,453,195 and 7,648,649 and any foreign counterparts, divisionals, continuations, continuations-in-part, reissues and reexaminations thereof) covering the application of potassium fluoride silicon (PFS) phosphor in LEDs for sale as part of LED backlight units for LCD displays.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd

November 2, 2016—Today GE Lighting Solutions LLC and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announce the signing of a worldwide patent license agreement. In this agreement, Samsung is granted a license to practice certain key GE patents in order to make and offer for sale LEDs and LED modules that contain potassium fluoride silicon (PFS) phosphor for the backlighting of LCD display products.

In early 2015, GE Lighting Solutions, LLC entered into a non-exclusive, worldwide patent license agreement with Unity Opto Technology Co., Ltd., a Taiwanese company. This license allows Unity to practice several GE patents (US Patents 7,497,973, 7,847,309, 7,358,542, 7,453,195 and 7,648,649 and any foreign counterparts, divisionals, continuations, continuations-in-part, reissues and reexaminations thereof) covering the application of potassium fluoride silicon (PFS) phosphor in LEDs for sale as part of LED backlight units for LCD displays.

Wooree E&L Co., Ltd

In May 2016, GE Lighting Solutions, LLC entered into a non-exclusive, worldwide patent license agreement with Wooree E&L Co., Ltd, a Korean company. This license allows Wooree to practice several GE patents (US Patents 7,497,973, 7,847,309, 7,358,542, 7,453,195 and 7,648,649 and any foreign counterparts, divisionals, continuations, continuations-in-part, reissues and reexaminations thereof) covering the application of potassium fluoride silicon (PFS) phosphor in LEDs for sale as part of LED backlight units for LCD displays.
