GE Hospitality LED Lighting Wins Las Vegas Sands Supplier Excellence Award

GE Lighting has been awarded a Sands Supplier Excellence Award by Las Vegas Sands Corp., owner of The Venetian|The Palazzo of Las Vegas. As the winner in the “Corporate Culture and Sustainability” award category, GE was recognized for its continuous dedication as a trusted lighting advisor to Las Vegas Sands Corp.

First collaborating with the resort in 2010, GE's custom LED lighting solutions helped Las Vegas Sands Corp. take another step toward curbing environmental impact as part of its Sands ECO 360o Global Sustainability program. The resort completed an expansive lighting upgrade in meeting rooms and guest suites in The Venetian|The Palazzo of Las Vegas. The upgrade resulted in a savings of nearly $2 million in annual lighting costs.

In 2013, Las Vegas Sands Corp. once again enlisted GE Lighting for a custom LED replacement bulb for the 57,000 incandescent candelabra lamps in the resort's ballrooms and corridors. GE's new LED Candelabra Lamp delivered lower wattage, higher lumens and the right color temperature for the resort's unique aesthetics—all while enhancing the “sparkle” in their expensive chandeliers.
