GE celebrates another successful year at LuxLive
GE Lighting is celebrating another successful year at Lux Live 2012. A huge number of visitors took a tour of the GE Lighting booth to see its comprehensive range of lighting solutions; including those that have featured in key UK projects this year, as well as innovations developed for retail, office and outdoor lighting applications.
The Lumination™ LED Luminaires range continued to create interest. As the first true alternative to linear fluorescent lighting, the launch of the range last year marked a tipping point in office lighting; thus, significant energy savings from LED is now a commercial reality in this sector.
This year, the GE Lighting booth featured additions to the range, with Lumination™ Downlights available in LED, CMH and CFL versions and in fixed and adjustable formats as well as the new LED Lumination 1200mm x 300mm recessed luminaire. Continuing the theme, GE's Simon Fisher took part in a Lux Live Forum debate on LEDs suitability for office environments. This proved incredibly popular – with the Lux Live aisles crowded with those that wanted to hear the discussion.
GE Lighting also chose Lux Live 2012 to celebrate its latest sponsorship of the F1 Caterham team; and visitors to the stand were offered the chance to win a tour of the Caterham F1 factory. With a noticeable increase in numbers and an incredibly busy stand from start to finish – Lux Live concludes what has been a monumental year for GE Lighting in the UK – following projects for the Olympic Games and Tower Bridge. Thanks to the Lux Live team – and GE Lighting will see you next year!
